The 2010-2011 Junior Master Gardener class graduated on March 29. The twelve week after school course for students in grades three to five covered a variety of subjects including: soil composition; properties of a food chain; composting; differences between annual, biennial and perennial plants; characteristics of trees and shrubs; water conservation; beneficial and harmful insects, and the importance of landscape design.  The class was sponsored by the Fayette County Extension Office and taught by Master Gardener volunteers.  For more information call Andrea McCourtney 770-841-9771.
