Holiday thieves smash vehicle windows in Fayetteville, Peachtree City

The period of Dec. 3-10 came with eight entering auto incidents in Peachtree City and four in Fayetteville.

An entering auto incident occurred on Dec. 4 at a North Fairfield Drive residence. The driver’s side window was smashed and a purse was stolen, according to Peachtree City Police Department reports.

A second Dec. 4 entering auto was reported on North Fairfield Drive, though nothing was stolen from the unlocked vehicle, reports said.

Another Dec. 4 incident occurred on Peachtree Station Circle when the passenger window was broken and three packages were stolen from the vehicle, according to reports.

A second Dec. 4 incident on Peachtree Station Circle dealt with a vehicle forcibly entered through the front passenger window. There were no reports of items stolen, police reports said.

A third entering auto incident occurred on Peachtree Station Circle on Dec. 4. An unlocked vehicle was entered and the vehicle’s keys and several bank documents were stolen, reports said.

There were three entering auto incidents in Peachtree City on Dec. 7.

Two of the incidents occurred at The Avenue, with the vehicles belonging to the employees of a business whose cars were parked in the rear of the store, according to police reports.

Both vehicles had windows smashed and purses stolen from both vehicles, reports said.

The remaining Dec. 7 incident occurred at a business on Ga. Highway 74 North. A locked vehicle was entered and a laptop, briefcase and gym bag stolen, according to reports.

Three of the Fayetteville’s four entering autos occurred at the Clarendon Place Apartments off South Jeff Davis Drive.

All occurring in Dec. 4, each of the vehicles had a window busted out, said Fayetteville Police Department spokesman Chad Myers.

Myers said one of the vehicles was rummaged-through with nothing stolen, while the other two had headphones, a jacket and cosmetics stolen.

A final entering auto occurred on Dec. 7 at the Fayette Pavilion. Myers said a rear window was shattered and a backpack, headphones and shoes were stolen.
