0The youth at Southside Church recently conducted a project called “Together We Can.” They collected items and filled shoeboxes for the needy kids in the local community this Christmas.
Altogether they collected 183 pairs of shoes in October, leaving them 183 boxes to fill. The kids were challenged to turn these shoeboxes into toy boxes for children. A total of 664 toys were donated and 216 shoeboxes were filled. The shoes and the toys were donated to the Real Life Center for families in the local area.
