John Martin Turner, 70, of Fayetteville, passed away on Friday, March 24, 2017, after a lengthy illness.

John was born on August 15, 1946 in Canandaigua, N.Y. to the late Russell and Margaret Turner. John was a 23-year employee of YOKOGAWA Corporation of America in Newnan. He was an active member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church and was a member of the Knights of Columbus. John’s faith, family and friends were the priorities in his life.

He was preceded in death by his son, John Francis. John is survived by, his devoted wife of 39 years, Christine; his sister, Maryanne Turner, SSJ; his children; Timothy, Matthew, Sarah, Rebecca (Arturo) Mondragon, and Michael; his grandchildren; Nolan Turner, Sophia and Isabella Mondragon; Nolan Turner’s mother Mary Sekowski; and many friends.

Expressions of sympathy may be made in the form of donations to: Sisters of St. Joseph of Rochester, c/o Maryanne Turner, SSJ, 150 French Rd., Rochester, N.Y. 14618.

The visitation was held Monday, March 27, 2017 from 5-7 p.m., in the Chapel of Carl J. Mowell & Son, Peachtree City, with the Rosary at 6 p.m. A mass of Christian burial was celebrated at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Interment followed in Westminster Memorial Gardens.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Peachtree City.
