0Bonnie “Bon Bon” Louise Hawkins, 83, of Fayetteville, died November 12, 2010.
She is preceded in death by her granddaughter Amanda Tanquary, son-in-law Ivey Godbee, Jr., and brother Dwain Sykes.
She is survived by her husband of 66 years William L. “Doodle” Hawkins, Sr.; daughter Cheryl and Lenus Sims of Kennesaw, Charlotte Godbee of Fayetteville, and Cindy and Tony Tanquary of Newborn; son Bill and Sheila Hawkins of Jacksonville, FL; 14 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Monday, November 15, 2010 at 11:00 AM at the Chapel of Mowell Funeral Home, Fayetteville with Chaplain Ernie Hinson officiating. Burial will follow at Camp Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Sunday from 3:00 to 6:00 PM at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
