Leonore-Emma-Webb-BashamLeonore “Lee” Emma Webb Basham was born on March 15, 1924, in New Jersey and passed peacefully on February 19, 2017 in Fayetteville, Ga.

She lived an amazingly active 92 years. Lee was the daughter of the late Thornton and Florence Webb. Lee was married to LTC Ret US Army Eldon “Pete” Orell Basham of Anna, Ky., for more than 56 years. Pete’s service in the Army for nearly 30 years carried them, and their two children, to various assignments around the world. After Pete retired in 1971, they resided in Fayetteville and Lee built her dream home. Lee began her career as a real estate agent once they settled in Georgia and retired from TriCities Realty/Remax.

Later in life, she met Hollis Harris at First Presbyterian in Peachtree City, Ga., and they shared many wonderful memories. She loved to travel the world, was an avid golfer, and was an active bridge player. Lee took pride in her dream home and enjoyed entertaining family and friends. She loved to garden for hours, making a beautiful landscape around her home. Every year, the spring flowers will continue to bring smiles to the faces of her loved ones, as they always did to hers.

Lee was preceded in death by her husband, Pete Basham; Hollis Harris; brother, Thornton “Bud” Webb; and her sister-in-law, Doris Webb.

Lee is survived by her two children, daughter, Patricia “Pat” Harrison of Snellville, Ga., and son, Robert “Bob” Basham of Woodbury, Ga.; daughter-in-law, Diane Basham of Fayetteville, Ga.; three grandchildren, Patrick “Shannon” Harrison (Rachel) of Snellville, Ga., Joy Basham of Buford, Ga., and Michael “Mike” Basham (Kristen) of Flowery Branch, Ga.; and four great-grandchildren, Brendan Harrison, Morgan Harrison, Collin Basham and Katelyn Basham. Lee had several nieces and nephews that were close to her heart.
