0Glenn Carter Taylor, 68, passed away on Wednesday, December 28, 2016, after a long and hard fought battle with cancer. He was born on August 20, 1948, in Thomaston, Ga.
He was preceded in death by his father, Carter Taylor, his mother, Betty Ann Reeves, and his sister, Lisa Lanxton.
He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Teresa Taylor; daughter, Mary Ellen Shaver; son, Tyler Carter Taylor; brother, Tim Taylor; nieces, Molly Minter and Kate Taylor; nephews, Charles Lanxton, Glenn Lanxton, Mathew Taylor, and Joshua Taylor; great niece, Macey Minter; great nephew, Taylor Lanxton.
A Celebration of Life will take place at 2 p.m. on January 15, 2017, at Hotel Indigo in Athens, Ga. The family has requested in lieu of flowers to make donations to Kindred Gentiva Hospice Foundation at www.kindredgentivahospicefoundation.org or The American Cancer Society.
Georgia Cremation, 1086 Highway 54, Fayetteville is in charge of arrangements.
