Lauren Wilson of Fayetteville, a student at Brenau University, participated Nov. 11-14 in the Gainesville Theatre Alliance production “Flyin’ West” at the Ed Cabell Theatre at the University of North Georgia. She worked on the costumes.
Dezmone Valentine, a senior from Sharpsburg majoring in middle-grades education at the University of North Georgia, has been awarded a Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship for study abroad during spring 2017, when she will travel to Valencia, Spain. Valentine will spend three months working in a middle school, including six weeks as a full-time teacher.
