Elizabeth I. (Morris) Oliver, of Fayetteville, Ga., formerly a long time resident of Ossining, N.Y. and Yorktown Heights, N.Y., departed this life on September 17, 2016 after a long illness.

Betty graduated from Ossining High School and then went on to further her education and graduated from Westchester Community College with an Associates Degree in Business. She also graduated from Pace University with a degree; and a Masters Degree from WesConn. She taught at Hawthorne Cedar Knolls School for many years.

Betty married James D. Oliver, Sr. (affectionately known as Jimmy) on May 16, 1959. From that union two children were born, James (Ollie) Oliver and Sheryl Oliver. She was a devoted wife and mother and enjoyed being with family and friends.

Betty was a longtime member of St. Matthews United Methodist Church and served on several committees. Betty and Jimmy relocated to Fayetteville, Ga. in 1998.

Betty was predeceased by her parents, her husband, Jimmy, and two brothers, Joseph Morris and Matthew (Toby) Morris, Jr.

Betty leaves to mourn, her son, James, Jr., of Bronx, N.Y.; her daughter, Sheryl of Fayetteville, Ga.; two sisters, Judythe Morris of White Plains, N.Y. and Phyllis Morris of Newnan, Ga.; a sister in-law, Maxine Townsend of Towson, Md.; one brother in-law, Harold Oliver; two nephews, Todd Tolson and Tracy Tolson; two nieces,  Felecia Morris of Peekskill and Sabrina Townsend; one aunt, Maryetta Davis of Chicago; and a host of family and friends.

Betty will be forever missed, but not forgotten.
