0Martha Ann Powell, 77, passed away at home on October 4, 2016.
She was born on March 13, 1939 in Monteagle, Marion County, Tenn. to Thomas Harley Burgess and Helen Pearl Jones of Atlanta, Ga. She graduated from Russell High School in 1956.
Martha is survived by her husband of 59 years, William “Bill” Alston Powell; her children, William “Bill” Powell, Jr., Jan McAfee, Troy Powell, and Tray Powell; eleven grandchildren; and twelve great grandchildren.
Her funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, October 6, 2016 at Mowell Funeral Home, Fayetteville. Burial will immediately follow the service at Westminster Memorial Gardens, Peachtree City. The family will receive friends from 5:30-8 p.m. on Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at the funeral home.
