Notable students and grads

John Kegley of Fayetteville has been selected for Samford University’s John Howard Scholars program. Kegley is a freshman history major and one of 17 students selected for this year’s Fellows class.

Tyler Patrick of Newnan received the North Point Hospitality Group Scholarship at the Honors Day Celebration for the J. Mack Robinson College of Business at Georgia State University.

Jenna Pyron of Fayetteville has been selected as a 2016-17 member of the Harding University Concert Choir. Pyron, a management major, is one of more than 30 majors represented in the 90-member group.

Tracy Geisel of Palmetto has enrolled at the University of Findlay for fall 2016. New students began their studies at UF Aug. 22. Geisel is pursuing a master’s degree in environmental, safety and health management.

Abigail McCarter of Fayetteville has been selected as a Samford University Preministerial Scholar for 2016-17. McCarter is a freshman graphic design major and one of 12 students selected for this leadership program. She is a graduate of Veritas Classical Schools.
