Sara Harp Minter Elementary has been busy exploring the world of magnets.

The kindergarteners explored magnets and investigated a variety of objects to determine which materials are magnetic and which are not. The activity was designed to develop an understanding of magnetic properties while also becoming familiar with key concepts and vocabulary, including attract and repel. Through hands-on exploration, students were encouraged to make observations and develop an initial understanding of how magnets interact with different materials.
