The time period of Sept. 13-19 came with a stolen vehicle recovered in Peachtree City and the theft of a vehicle and an entering auto incident in Fayetteville.
A Senoia man was arrested on Sept. 16 on charges of theft by receiving after units from the Fayette County Sheriff’s Special Operations Section received information that he might be driving a stolen vehicle in the area of Peachtree City, according to Sheriff Barry Babb.
Kurt Conally Zimmerman, 27, was charged when he was found with the vehicle in the parking lot of the Wilshire Pavilion on Ga. Highway 74 South, said Babb.
Babb said the vehicle was stolen from Phenix City, Ala.
Fayetteville police on Sept. 16 reported a vehicle stolen at the Fayette Pavilion. The owner of a 2000 Ford F250 pick-up who was eating in a local restaurant exited to find his vehicle missing, said Fayetteville Police Department spokesman Mike Whitlow.
The owner believed he locked the door when exiting the vehicle, Whitlow said.
An entering auto incident occurred at a restaurant near the Fayette Pavilion on Ga. Highway 85 North on Sept. 16.
Whitlow said the vehicle owner reported a passenger window had been broken and a wallet containing cash and credit cards was stolen.
