Members of  First Presbyterian Church in Peachtree City hosted liturgical artist Lisle Gwynn Garrity at their Gratitude Sunday, a worship service to give thanks for the abundant ways that God is at work in members’ lives and in their church.

Garrity  painted and created banners for the First, Faithful, Forever Campaign at First Presbyterian. She is an artist, retreat leader and worship consultant working within the PCUSA.

She holds master’s degrees in divinity and practical theology from Columbia Theological Seminary in Decatur.

The imagery in the banners is intended to visually inspire the congregation throughout the stewardship season.

The stones symbolize First Presbyterian’s heritage as the first to plant roots as a church community in Peachtree City.  From the rubble, a tree sprouts up toward the light, representing God’s ability to grow abundance and new life even in the mist of rocky terrain.
