Willard “W.R” Randolph Dunson, age 89, of Palmetto, Ga., died peacefully on Friday, February 5, 2016. He was born in Tignall, Ga., on January 1, 1927, to the late Hoyt and Sammie Lee Dunson.

He was happily married to Polly Powell Dunson. He was a US Army veteran of the Korean War. In 1969, he started Day & Night Cab Company in College Park, which he operated until his death. It was his greatest passion and legacy. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Billy Dunson.

Survivors include: his wife, Polly Dunson of Fayetteville (formerly of Palmetto); daughters, Carol Martin (Chuck), and Paula McCullough (Randy), both of Fayetteville, and Terri Dunson of Decatur; son, Eddie Dunson of Atlanta; sister, Lillie Benson of Fayetteville; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

A funeral service was held at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, February 7, 2016, at chapel of Holly Hill Funeral Home. Interment at Holly Hill Memorial Park.
