Blanche P. West, 96, of Fayetteville passed away on December 1, 2015.

One of seven children, she was born on January 26, 1919 to W. F. and Liza Powers in Ashe County, North Carolina.

Mrs. West is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Herschel Loy West and her son, Ted West. She is survived by her children, Sylvia Ward (James) and Philip Wamples (Edna); her grandchildren, Valarie, Luke, Mark, James and Michael; four great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild; and her sister, Hazel Britton of Norfolk, Va.

There will be a graveside service at 2 p.m. on Saturday, December 5, 2015 at Friendship Methodist Cemetery, Fayetteville. The family will receive friends on Friday, December 4, 2015 from 5 -7 p.m. at Mowell Funeral Home, Fayetteville Chapel.
