McIntosh Theater presents “Too Much Light Makes the Baby Go Blind” (50 plays in 90 minutes) Oct. 1 and 3 at 7 p.m. in the McIntosh High School Auditorium.
Based on the long-running show by the Neo-Futurists in Chicago, “Too Much Light” features a mix of comedic, satiric, eerie and touching micro-plays. Performed in a random order as chosen by the audience, “Too Much Light” is fast-paced, energetic, constantly changing and unlike anything you have seen on stage. Also included will be an art show by McIntosh students based on the plays in the show.
Out of each ticket sold, $2 will go to Promise Place, a Fayette County organization that works to prevent domestic violence. Before each show, a Promise Place representative will give a presentation on domestic violence and teen dating violence. McIntosh Theater will also collect money for Promise Place during the show.

The cast consists of Kat Elliott, Christopher ‘Crispy’ Greco, Gregor Haas, Kyle Hamlin, Claire Hemenway (named to the Region All Star Cast, 2014), Madeline Hervey, Kenzie Knudson, Richard Kohlhaas, Connor Lawhead, Cristina Mariano, Mikeila McQueston (named Best Actress at Region, 2013), Jacob Mewborn, Jess Rodriguez, Joshua Sussman, and Wylie Watlington. The show is stage managed by Sophie Roggermeier, Lights are by Audrey Landrum, sound by Mykala Johnson, and Julian Soper and Thorie Thuon are on stage crew.
