West Palm Beach, Florida native Barry L. Howard, 50, of Fayetteville, GA died June 18, 2010 at Southwest Christian Hospice in Union City, GA following a long battle with cancer.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 am on June 22nd at Carl J. Mowell & Sons Funeral Home in Fayetteville , GA.
Barry Lee Howard was born September 17, 1959, in West Palm Beach, FL to Carlisle and Lourdes (Dumond) Howard. He graduated from Cardinal Newman High School in 1977 and later earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Bellevue University in Omaha, NE.
On October 17, 2003 , he married Kim Thomas in Blair , Nebraska .
Barry worked for Delta Air Lines from 1978 to 2008, holding several positions from cabin service to station manager. In 2008 he started a new carrier as a Financial Advisor with Edward Jones. He was a beloved friend to many.
Barry enjoyed cooking, traveling and spending time with his family and friends. He was a dedicated husband, father, son and brother.
He is survived by his wife, Kim of Fayetteville, GA, sons Barry Lee (23) and Steven (21) of Sandy Springs, GA, and Ethan (5), of Fayetteville, GA; father Carlisle Howard and wife Carolyn of The Villages, FL; mother Lourdes Murphy and husband James of The Villages, FL; brothers Daniel Howard of West Stockbridge, MA and Raymond Howard of Jacksonville, FL; Step-brothers James Murphy of Lawrenceville, GA, Joseph Murphy of West Palm Beach , FL and step-sister Michelle Murphy of Clermont , FL.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
