The Georgia DOT is reminding motorists of the NAACP’s Journey for Justice march entered Georgia Aug. 8 in West Point and will leave the state Aug. 18 at the South Carolina border.
Motorists are asked to exercise caution when traveling through the designated and approved routes for the marchers.
The scheduled route for Aug. 9 included a section of Hwy. 29/14 toward Grantville and then to Moreland. A circuit of downtown Newnan – including Hwy. 27, Greenville Street, Jefferson Street, Clark Street and Hwy. 29/14 – is on the Aug. 10 schedule.
The march continues straight through Palmetto, Fairburn and College Park Aug. 11 as it makes its way to Atlanta.
