The James Waldrop Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, located in Fayetteville, has announced its annual dinner commemorating the birthday of the Marquis de Lafayette and the signing of the Treaty of Paris, which ended the Revolutionary War.

The dinner takes place Tuesday, Aug. 25, at 6:30 p.m. at Prime Events at the Gardens of Southern Oaks, 240 N. Jeff Davis Drive in Fayetteville. The event, which is open to the public, includes a plated dinner and an informative historical program on the Marquis.

This year’s program will be presented by Stephane Allagnon, a native of France, who will speak on the Lafayette home in France.

The cost is $25 per person. Checks should be made payable to James Waldrop Chapter, NSDAR and mailed to Betty Harrah, Treasurer, 190 New Haven Drive, Fayetteville, GA, 30215, to arrive no later than Friday, Aug. 21.
