Clyde “Fred” Heath, 81, passed away on July 29, 2015. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. Mr. Heath was retired from the Fayette County Maintenance Department as Director of Maintenance and was a member of Gideons International in Griffin. An Eagle Scoutmaster for many years, Mr. Heath was a mighty man of God and loved by all.
Mr. Heath was preceded in death by his first wife, Carol Gibbs Heath; his grandson, Brad Sigman, and his parents, Ronald and Flossie Heath.
He is survived by his wife Jo; daughters, Kelly Sigman and Karen Montez (Jose); sons, Mike Heath (Linda) and Greg Perry (Betti). He is also survived by his beloved grandchildren, Bryan Sigman, Bonnie Barnett (Jason), Chad Heath, Chris Heath, and Sarah Heath; and seven great-grand-children.
A funeral service was held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, August 2, 2015, at Mowell Funeral Home, Fayetteville Chapel, with Pastor Jerry Young officiating. Interment followed at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery, Fayetteville, Ga. The family received friends and relatives on Saturday, August 1, 2015, at the funeral home.
