Former Sandy Creek player Alice Breia Boone, a four-year letterman in softball for the Claflin University Lady Panthers, has been named to SIAC’S All-Conference 2015 first team.
She finished her final season with the most RBI in conference play for the Lady Panthers (25) along with a .386 batting average two home runs on the season, including a grand slam.
She drove in the winning run against Benedict to complete a three-game sweep and ensure the team’s seeding in the 2015 SIAC Softball Championships.
Boone will graduate in May with a degree in biochemistry and has recently been accepted into the North Carolina A&T master’s program for food science.
