Edward (Ed) L. Hoyt, Jr. passed away peacefully in Fayetteville, Ga. on Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at the age of 65 from a long battle with illness.
He was born on February 28, 1950 to the late Margaret and Edward L. Hoyt, Sr. of Indianapolis, Ind. He held a mechanical engineering degree and art degree, which he applied towards his career of more than 35 years in the industrial printing industry; and has been retired for several years. He served many years as a Deputy with the Marion County Sheriff’s Department in Indianapolis, Ind. He was a dedicated family man to his wife of 45 years, four children, seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren and loved every family gathering.
Ed was preceded in death by daughter, Tina Bledsoe and son, Troy Hoyt. He is survived by wife, Catherine J. Hoyt of Fayetteville, Ga.; brother, Danny Hoyt of Indianapolis, Ind; daughter, Tricia Hoyt of Newnan, Ga.; sons Trevor and wife Jennifer Hoyt of Newnan, Ga. and Michael Bledsoe of Ola, Ga.
He is also survived by grandchildren: Miles, Michael and Maylin Colon; Megan and Jake Bledsoe; and Madison and Kyle Hoyt; and great grandchildren: Brice and Gage Colon; and Andrew Owens.
The family received friends from 5-7 p.m. on Saturday, April 11, 2015 at Mowell Funeral Home located at 200 Robinson Road in Peachtree City, Ga.
The memorial service was private for the family on Sunday, April 12, 2015. Ed will rest at Westminister Memorial Gardens in Peachtree City, Ga.
