The Newnan Kennel Club is celebrating its 50th anniversary with its annual Town & Country Weekend Dog Show, October 16–18, at the Coweta County Fairgrounds in Newnan.
The event begins at 9 a.m. each day and offers spectators an opportunity to watch dogs compete in the show ring, learn about different breeds, and discover more about competitive dog sports.
The weekend will feature conformation judging, where dogs are evaluated against their breed standards. Spectators can also cheer on young handlers participating in Junior Showmanship, a competition that highlights the skills of children and teenagers showing dogs.
Even the youngest canine competitors will have their moment in the spotlight during the American Kennel Club’s sanctioned 4 and Under 6 Months Puppy Competition, which introduces puppies to the show ring.
Celebrating five decades as a club, the Newnan Kennel Club invites the community to join in the anniversary festivities and enjoy a weekend dedicated to dogs.
Admission and parking are free, making the event an opportunity for families and dog enthusiasts to experience the world of competitive dog showing.
The Town & Country Weekend Dog Show takes place Friday, October 16, through Sunday, October 18, at the Coweta County Fairgrounds, 275 Pine Road, Newnan.
