Sandy Creek High teamed up with the Divine 9 Fraternities and Sororities for a special night in support of the school’s football program.
At halftime of the game against Fayette County High, members of each organization were honored on the field. Leading up to the game, members were asked to donate to Patriot athletics. Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. led the fundraiser challenge with the most donations.
The Divine 9 represents five fraternities and four sororities which were originally established in Historically Black Colleges and Universities to combat racial inequities for African American scholars. Each organization has a common goal of educating, uplifting, and serving the community.
