Burch, Spring Hill, Flat Rock Middle Honored as Top Title I Schools

Robert J. Burch, Spring Hill Elementary, and Flat Rock Middle were recognized with Title I school awards by the Georgia Department of Education.

Robert J. Burch and Spring Hill Elementary have both been named a 2026 Title I Reward School. Title I Reward Schools are identified as the top 5% of Title I schools in the state making the most progress in improving the performance of all students.

The distinction is based on comparing content mastery scores from the most recent two years of reported data on our statewide assessments.

Flat Rock Middle was named a 2026 Title I Distinguished School. The recognition signifies that the school ranks among the top 5% of Georgia’s Title I schools for overall performance, based on combined ELA and Math scores from the 2025 fiscal school year. 

Flat Rock is now eligible to apply for the 2026 National ESEA Distinguished School Award. Each year, only two schools per state are selected for this national honor by the National Association of ESEA State Program Administrators.
