Mary Evelyn (Perry) Finlon passed away on September 21, 2014.

She was born in Tifton, Ga. on November 14, 1920. She is preceded in death by her husband, of 53 years, Robert L. Finlon, Sr.

She is survived by her five children, Robert, Jr. (Tampa, Fla.)and his wife, Alice, Delores (Tampa, Fla.) and her husband, Charlie Mahan, Marie (Fayetteville, Ga.) and her husband, Lew Walker, Pauline (Jackson, Ga.) and her husband, Forrest Hale, Jr., and Kenneth (Fayetteville, Ga.) and his wife, Anne. Evelyn is also survived by twelve grandchildren (residing in Georgia, Texas, Florida, N. Carolina, and Colorado); and fourteen great grandchildren.

Evelyn was a long-time resident of Tampa, Fla. prior to 2002 when she moved to Fayetteville, Ga. Her husband, Robert, was a career Air Force Officer and they were stationed at Drew Field and MacDill AFB several times before retiring to Tampa in 1960. She taught school in Tampa until retiring from the Hillsborough County School system.

Graveside services will be held at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Tampa, Fla. on Friday, September 26, 2014 at 2:30 p.m. A visitation will be held from 12 p.m. -2 p.m. at Garden of Memories Funeral Home.
