0Gloria and Raymond Costa of Newnan celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary inside Piedmont Newnan Hospital Aug.22. While it wasn’t the idea place to be on such a special occasion, the hospital staff tried to make the best out of it. They surprised the couple with gourmet meals made up of grilled salmon, Fettuccine Alfredo, fruit salad served in a champagne glass and – for dessert – carrot cake dribbled with raspberry sauce. Gloria and Raymond married in 1959, right after Raymond returned from Seoul, South Korea where he served with the 618th Medical Clearing Company. They raised a daughter and two sons and now have six grandchildren.
