James Sidney Rickard, 94, of Fayetteville, passed away June 11, 2014.
He served his country during WWII in the US Army Air Corps. He then worked as an Air Traffic Controller for the FAA.
He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Frances Wilson Rickard.
He is survived by his daughter Anne (Randy) Hayes of Fayetteville and Susan (Randy) Mayfield of Sharpsburg; 6 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; brother John R. Rickard of Colorado Springs, Colo.; and 9 nieces & nephews.
A funeral service was held Saturday, June 14, 2014 at 2 p.m. at the Chapel of Mowell Funeral Home, Fayetteville. Scott Harp, Nick Adams, and Steve Kepley officiated. The burial followed at Camp Memorial Park, Fayetteville. The family received friends Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
