Support Local Foster Children This Back-to-School Season

FAYETTEVILLE, GA – As the new school year approaches, hundreds of foster children across Georgia are in urgent need of school supplies, clothing and other essential resources to start the year with confidence.  Bloom Our Youth, a local nonprofit serving foster children, is calling on the community to come together to support these children, many of whom face educational challenges due to frequent moves, trauma, and limited resources.

As you may know, a significant portion of the Bloom Closet inventory—such as socks, school supplies, toiletries, and more cannot be fulfilled through in-kind donations alone. If this gap is not filled, local foster children may not have what they need to begin the school year with a feeling of pride and self-worth. To create the most uplifting and inspiring shopping experience possible, Bloom must meet essential needs that go beyond what can be collected in-kind.

“Our community has always shown incredible compassion for children in foster care, and we believe they’ll once again extend their generosity to make a meaningful difference,” said Bloom Development Director Katie Weaver. “With the new school year beginning in early August, your support is more crucial than ever to ensure every child feels prepared and hopeful for the year ahead.”

Please consider making a special gift today to help cover Bloom’s critical inventory needs and ensure that foster children walk into school on the first day with the same courage and confidence as their peers. Whether you can give $10 to provide socks and a new pair of jeans, or $500 to supply school essentials and clothing for a child through the end of the year, your gift is needed and will be put to work immediately to help foster children feel confident as they work to break the cycle of trauma and insecurity.

Donations can be mailed or dropped off to Bloom Our Youth, 150 Marquis Drive, Fayetteville, GA  30214, or online athttps://bloomfosters.org/donate.
