Hugh Clifford “Chuck” Wilson of Fayetteville passed away February 14, 2014.

He was born October 7, 1927 in McDonough, Ga. to the late David & Pearl Wilson. He proudly served in the US Army. He was a sales manager for Sears Roebuck for over 40 years, and later worked for 20 years at Clayton Appliance as a salesman.

He was a long-time member of Dogwood Hills Baptist Church in East Point where they lived for over 40 years. After moving to Fayetteville in 1991 he became an active member of Fayetteville First Baptist Church and the Keystone Sunday School Class. A very special thanks to the outstanding staff of Azalea Estates who cared for him during the last 3 years.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Jerri Wilson.

He is survived by his daughter Cindy & David Bartosh of Fayetteville; son Jeff & Karen Wilson of McDonough; grandchildren Jena (Justin) Hughes, Drew (Kayla) Wilson, Zack Wilson, Ashley Bartosh, and Anna Bartosh; great-grandchild MaKenleigh Hughes; and several nieces & nephews.

A funeral service was held Monday, February 17, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Overton Chapel of Fayetteville First Baptist Church, Fayetteville. Reverend Glenn Stringham officiated. The burial followed at Camp Memorial Park, Fayetteville.

The family received friends Monday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church prior to the service.
