0Scott Darrell Newby, 53, of Fayetteville, passed away on September 10, 2017.
He was born on July 4, 1964 in Houston, Texas to Darrell and Teresa Newby. Scott was a 1983 graduate of Fayette County High School and a member of Fayetteville Christian Church and the One Accord Sunday School Class. He was a General Contractor with Newby Construction. Scott was preceded in death by his fraternal grandparents, Agnes “Mema” and Barge Newby and his maternal grandmother, Eva “Mema” Adams.
He is survived by his parents, Darrell and Teresa Newby; his brother, Bryan (Missy) Newby; his niece Kyleigh and nephews Calem, Carson, and Kohen Newby; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
The funeral service for Scott will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at Fayetteville Christian Church, 114 Hickory Road, Fayetteville, Ga., with Dr. Dan Roberts and Minister Andrew Higle officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery (96 Jefferson Street) Newnan, Ga. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, September 15, 2017 at Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Mission Fund at Fayetteville Christian Church, 114 Hickory Road, Fayetteville, Ga. 30214.
