The new school year isn’t just a milestone for the students, it’s also the beginning of a fresh start for many teachers. Fayette County Public Schools helped first-year faces get ready with their annual New Teacher Induction program.

Hosted this year by JC Booth Middle, the three-day seminar brings together teachers new to the system with veteran teachers, administrators, and curriculum leaders for a deep dive into professional learning.

As an added thank you to the new team members, the Fayette County Education Foundation presented each new teacher with a $25 Amazon gift card.

The Foundation uses tax-deductible gifts to provide funds and opportunities above and beyond the normal operating budget of the school system, and 100 percent of donations are returned to classrooms.
