Sen. Marty Harbin appointed chairman of Senate Committee on Government Oversight

Sen. Marty Harbin (R — Tyrone) was reinstated to serve as Chairman of the Senate Committee on Government Oversight on Jan. 13.

“I am so honored to be selected by Lt. Governor Burt Jones and the Senate Committee on Assignments to continue to serve as Chairman of the Senate Committee on Government Oversight,” said. Sen. Harbin. “I am looking forward to serving alongside my fellow committee members to continue to pass important legislation during course of the 2023 Legislative Session. As a committee, we will work tirelessly to make certain that the tax dollars of all Georgia citizens are distributed fairly and that our government programs and institutions stay within their constitutional guidelines.”

In addition to serving as Chairman of the Senate Committee on Government Oversight, Sen. Harbin will serve as Vice Chairman of the Senate Committee on Insurance and Labor and the Senate Committee on Retirement. He will also serve as a member of the Senate Committee on Ethics and Natural Resources and the Environment.
