0Frank B. Flanders, Jr., 84, of Fayetteville, Ga., died March 7, 2012. He was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church and co-founder of Akin & Flanders, Inc.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 44 years Gena Gwin Flanders and second wife of 7 years Vernell Osborne.
He is survived by his sons Frank B. & Milinda Flanders III and Herb & Regina Flanders, all of Williamson; daughter Ellen & Joey Brooks of Fayetteville; grandchildren, Frank IV and Tom Flanders, Elizabeth & Chris Terrell; Miles and Cole Flanders; Emily, Lillie and Tripp Brooks; great-grandsons Tucker and Tyson Flanders; sister Mary & Clinton Collins; sister-in-law Grace Flanders; step-daughter Sheila Osborne; step-sons Randy & Cyndy Osborne, and Steve & Laurie Osborne; step-grandchildren Steven, David and Courtney Osborne.
Funeral services were held Saturday, March 10, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Bethany United Methodist Church, 607 Rivers Road, Fayetteville, Ga.
Mr. Flanders will lie in state from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church. The burial followed at Holly Hill Memorial Park, Fairburn. The family received friends Friday at the funeral home.
