New BoE chairman must answer publicly

Letter to Chairman Presberg and board members:

We Fayette County citizens are dismayed by recent reports concerning how Mr. [Leonard] Presberg found his way onto the Board of Education, how he was designated chairman and by the board’s shocking vote not to defend Fayette County’s district wide voting system versus the NAACP’s lawsuit.

We are further dismayed by Mr. Presberg’s now publicly reported limited qualifications, his background and his involvement with fringe and questionable organizations.

Also, it is shocking and unacceptable that Mr. Presberg has chosen to not respond to these issues publicly and has indicated that he will only discuss them privately.

We request that this matter be immediately and publicly addressed. We Fayette citizens want answers.
