Fayetteville, Georgia (April 24, 2026) The City of Fayetteville planted two trees in City Center Park to celebrate National Arbor Day, to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Tree City USA program, and to commemorate the City’s 17th consecutive year as a certified Tree City USA. All of this lined up with Fayetteville’s participation in Georgia Municipal Association’s annual Georgia Cities Week, which made it even more fun.

Meadows Landscapes, LLC donated the trees, a Black Gum and a Poplar, and planted them between the Great Lawn and the playground. Both will grow to provide shade for residents and guests enjoying the park. City personnel from the Planning & Zoning and Public Services departments coordinated the tree planting project.
