Donations from local businesses, organizations, and individuals have helped pay off thousands of dollars in student meal charges across Fayette County Public Schools.

A total of $6,287.17 was donated to the school system’s school nutrition program and used to clear outstanding meal balances for students at multiple schools, including balances remaining after some students withdrew from the system.

Donors included Southside Lighting, Fayetteville First United Methodist Church, Tuggle Construction, North Fayette PTO, Diane Laney, The Fayette Democratic Women, and All for Lunch. Several donors provided ongoing or multi-school support.

Fayette County Public Schools is appreciative of the community’s generosity in helping to eliminate school lunch debts for its students and their families.
