I saw Wicked: For Good at the NCG Peachtree City IMAX, and it was absolutely stunning. The film is visually gorgeous, emotionally powerful, and filled with incredible music, standout performances, and breathtaking effects that make Oz feel more alive than ever.

For over a century, Oz has fascinated audiences while leaving big questions unanswered—Why the bucket of water? What led up to the tornado? How did relationships in Oz fracture? Wicked: For Good finally steps behind the curtain and gives these mysteries real depth and emotional context.

The film also debuts two new Stephen Schwartz songs—“The Girl in the Bubble” and “No Place Like Home.” Hearing new music from the composer who shaped Wicked from the very beginning feels both nostalgic and exciting.

At its core, this is still the story of Elphaba and Glinda—the choices that divide them, the pressures that shape them, and the bond that never fully fades. Their journey lands with more emotional clarity, making their connection “for good” feel genuinely earned.

Building on the legacy of L. Frank Baum’s 1900 novel, MGM’s 1939 Wizard of Oz, 1978 The Wiz, Gregory Maguire’s 1995 Wicked novel, and the 2003 Broadway musical, Wicked (Part 1) and Wicked: For Good don’t just expand the world of Oz. It honors it, showing why this universe endures and why its characters continue to resonate across generations.
