Gotta Love Fayetteville: Where to unwind

Let’s think outside the porch for a moment… After a long day of work, running errands, and taking care of the house, how do you unwind? Wouldn’t it be amazing if finding the perfect weekly event was as simple as hearing our courthouse bell chime on the hour?

That’s why I looove the event calendar here at The Citizen. Do you hear that? It’s your inner “Local Event Go-Go Gadget” stirring that gumbo pot of fun inside your brain! Can you tell I’m from New Orleans yet?

A Look Back: Wind Down Wednesday

I wandered down Highway 54 to see what the “Wind Down Wednesday” fuss was all about, and what a vibe! Simply Awesome Entertainment finds a way to celebrate seniors once a month by curating an event just for them. It’s truly a great time.

Attendees fill the place, and it’s like “Old School” meets “Too Cool.” Food and drinks were available, which added to the relaxing atmosphere set by the “ SAE Live Band “.

I’m so glad I popped in to connect with friends and meet some new faces! The next Wind Down Wednesday is October 15 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Psst… Don’t let the seniors have all the fun—this event is for everyone! Pop in to enjoy the live music, which is always themed for a chill time. I’m so glad I did.

Upcoming Events: Get Groovy

Tap into your inner hippie at the 70s Party with the Jess Goggins Band, a Janis Joplin tribute band! This event is on Halloween night at the Line Creek Bus Barn. Tickets are $20 online or $25 at the door.

Upcoming Events: Boogie Down

You can also boogie down at the Motown Revue at Alir Events on Highway 54 on December 12. You truly never know what you’re gonna get, and that’s just another reason to say, “Gotta Love Fayetteville!”
