Fox 5 Reports that a Newnan woman has been charged with multiple felonies following an investigation by the Coweta County Sheriff’s Office into allegations of child sexual abuse involving a 14-year-old boy.

Kori Jolynn Morris, 38, was arrested after the teen came forward to report the abuse. Investigators say Morris, a family friend, is accused of engaging in sexual activity with the minor at a residence in Coweta County.

Morris is charged with aggravated child molestation, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, and tampering with evidence. According to jail records, she is employed as a pediatrics nurse, though authorities say her job is not connected to the case.

A second woman, Brittany Wingo, 39, of Sharpsburg, was also arrested during the investigation. She is charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Investigators say her charges are unrelated to the allegations against Morris.

The Coweta County Sheriff’s Office says the investigation remains active, and additional charges may be filed.
