The City of Tyrone’s Recreation Department, in partnership with the Downtown Development Authority (DDA) will host a family game night on Friday, June 6 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Sponsored by the DDA, the event aims to bring the community together for a fun, family-friendly evening.
“Our thinking is to have a family-oriented, small town, charming event,” said Parks and Recreation Manager Lynda Owens. “The whole purpose for having these events and sponsoring them is to bring the community together.”
The event will feature live music by The MEN of SAE, as well as food trucks and retail vendors. Attendees can enjoy bites from various food trucks such as Big Mike’s Catfish and Chicken, El Amigo, Kona Ice and more.
Games and activities will be available for children of all ages- including board games, hula hoops, and cornhole.
“We really try to have something for everyone,” said Parks and Recreation Assistant Krista McClenny. “It makes for a really relaxed atmosphere.”
Volunteers are still needed and would be greatly appreciated. Those willing to lend a hand can reach out to the Tyrone Recreation Department at 770-487-4694.
