Michael Henry Flippen, age 55, of Peachtree City, Georgia, born in Metairie, Louisiana, March 6, 1970, passed away on May 29, 2025, in Union City, GA. Mike attended St. Charles Borromeo Catholic School (where he was likely the class clown) and graduated from Destrehan High School, where he perfected the art of making people laugh at inappropriate times—a skill he carried well into adulthood. A longtime resident of Peachtree City, he worked at United Radio for many years, where he was a favorite of his coworkers and was known for his sarcastic one-liners. Mike—aka “the guy who always brought the funny birthday card”—was a true delight to know. He was a connoisseur of both music of the 90’s and feline companionship, and he believed there was no problem in life that couldn’t be eased with a good tune or a well-timed joke. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert J. Flippen and Carmen M. Flippen, and his brother Barry G. Flippen. Mike leaves behind a family who loved him and always enjoyed his jokes: sisters Ginny Flippen Duhon (Mel) and Laurie Flippen Delesandro (Don), brothers Bob Flippen (Marion) and Bradley Flippen, nieces and nephews Dana Hensley (Steven), Nicole Huffman (Brandon), Nick Delesandro, and Jay Duhon (Lauren), and great-nephews, Eli Delesandro, Rowan Hensley and great niece Joleigh Delesandro. Internment will be held at St. Charles Borromeo Mausoleum, 13396 River Road, Destrehan, LA, on Thursday, June 5th, 2025, at 11 AM. Gathering of family and friends to follow.
