Robert “Bobby” Nipper, 85, of Fayetteville, Georgia, passed away Thursday, May 1, 2025. He was born in Atlanta, Georgia, on Friday, March 15, 1940, to the late Marvin Edward Nipper and Willie Kate Miller Nipper. He was born and raised in Fayetteville and is best known for Banks Vineyard and Cottle Strawberry Field. Bobby drove a truck for over 40 years and retired from Fairburn Ready Mix after 30 years of service. He is also known by his handles “Nip” or “Redbird”. He loved his farm tractors and was a regular at the tractor show. Bobby was loved by everyone and was known for doing anything for anyone. He was very well known and well loved. Bobby is preceded in death by his parents and his loving wife, Joyce Banks Nipper. He is survived by his daughter Paula (Mike) Dempsey of Palmetto; grandson Robby (Hannah) Ryan of Georgetown, KY; granddaughter Harley Wilcox of Fayetteville; great-granddaughters Grace and Ellie; brother-in-law Abe (Janet) Banks of Warner Robins; and sister-in-law Polly Nipper of Fayetteville; his beloved dog Paco; along with nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Mowell Funeral Home, Fayetteville, with Reverend Glenn Stringham officiating. Visitation will be held Monday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home. He will be laid to rest at Camp Memorial Park, Fayetteville. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Inman Farm Heritage Days, Inc., (a 501c3 company) in his memory – 283 Hillsbridge Road, Fayetteville, Georgia 30215.
