Michael Ellington Amos, 77, of Statham, formerly of Peachtree City, passed away Tuesday, April 29, 2025.

Born in Eden, NC, Mr. Amos was the son of the late Lowell and Gracie Dotson Amos. Mr. Amos graduated in 1965 as Salutatorian of Stocks County High School in Sandy Ridge, NC. He then received a textile technology degree from N.C. State University in 1969 and his master’s degree in business from UGA in 1977.   

A United States Army veteran, he was broker and co-owner of ProMaker Commercial Real Estate in Peachtree City. Mr. Amos formerly served as CEO of the Fayette County Chamber of Commerce, was a member of the Airport Authority in Peachtree City and a Rotarian. After moving to The Georgia Club, he attended the Men’s Bible Study group. Mr. Amos loved playing golf.

Survivors include his wife, of 49 years, Lynn Chastain Amos; children: Kevin P. Lester and Kelly S. Lester (Heather); grandchildren: Zach Lester (Jordan), Josh Lester (Amelia) and Brianna Martin and Samantha Martin; great-grandchildren: Caden Martin, Mia Martin, Tristan Martin and Brynley Lester.

A memorial service for Michael will be held Friday, May 9, 2025, at 2:00 p.m., at Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran Church, 101 N. Peachtree Pkwy., Peachtree City, GA 30269.
