The Peachtree City Council intends to make permanent its switch of its second meeting every month to Thursday morning. The council tried out the revised second Thursday change for the past three months.

The council meets in a special called meeting Thursday evening at 6:30 p.m., July 11, after canceling its gathering on July 4th in observance of the Independence Day holiday.

One big agenda item is a public hearing on the city’s Fiscal Year 2025 budget.

Also on the agenda are presentation of the July 4th Parade winners, a feasibility study of the city paying for and running its own municipal elections, and an update to the fire sprinkler ordinance.
