The student journalists of McIntosh and Starr’s Mill earned a prestigious honor. The Trail and The Prowler were the only Georgia schools to achieve School Newspapers Online (SNO) Distinguished Site recognition this year.

The SNO Distinguished Sites recognition program gives news staffs six standards that will help their publications excel online: Continuous coverage, website design, fully-developed stories, multimedia content, minimum traffic, and at least one Best of SNO recognized story.

It was the first time McIntosh’s The Trail was named a Distinguished Site. This year the staff was under the leadership of Editor-in-Chief Rebekah Bushmire. Shanon Woolf serves as staff adviser.

For The Prowler, it marked the 5th year in a row. This year’s staff was led by Editors-in-Chief Micah Freeman and Adeline Harper. Justin Spencer serves as staff adviser.
