Newnan in neighboring Coweta County has 4,000 more people than Peachtree City, according to a 2022 study by the American Community Survey.
Peachtree City clocked in at 38,414, while Newnan had a count of 42,689, the survey by the U.S. Census Bureau said.
The same Census release said Georgia’s 2023 total population was 11.02 million persons.
Though not in the top 50, Fayetteville came in at 19,687 persons and Tyrone at 7,907.
