There is nothing like the love of a dog. If you are looking for a companion that will love you unconditionally and always be there by your side, take a few minutes to visit with these sweet pups.
We have spent time with all of them and have written these descriptions based on what we have witnessed. Donations of dry bags of dog food are needed and appreciated.
• Oatmeal (at right in photo) (22844 — 65 lbs., intake date 12/21/2023)
This sweet, shy girl already knows how to play fetch and will bring you hours of joy while she brings you the ball and drops it at your feet. She may need some patience but comes out of her shell within a few minutes. She is very loving and calm, Oatmeal would be the perfect dog for a family or someone that needs lots of cuddles…(heartworm negative, spayed and up to date on her vaccinations).
• Pancake (at left in photo) (22842 — 65 lbs., intake date 12/21/2023)
This bundle of energy loves to play fetch and would be great for an active family. She’s around two years old and was found with her sister, Oatmeal. Pancake loves long walks on the beach and someone to pet her soft fur… (heartworm negative, spayed and up to date on her vaccinations).
• Dale (22865 — 60 lbs., intake date, 12/31/2023)
This docile eight-year-old is eager to please. He’s perfect for someone that doesn’t want a dog with a lot of energy, although he still has a lot of active years ahead of him. Dale loves to cuddle and squeeze between your legs and specifically, loves head pets. He would love to spend the rest of his years in a loving home where he is appreciated for the sweet boy he is…(heartworm negative, neutered and up to date on his vaccinations).
• Drake (22892 — 55 lbs., intake date 1/9/2024)
This sweet boy is very inquisitive. He is extremely calm for his age with a puppy like demeanor. Drake sits very nicely and absolutely loves his treats. He loves to play with toys and would make a great companion for a family with kids or a special someone who loves to explore with him… (heartworm negative, neutered and up to date on his vaccinations).

I applaud your efforts to publicize and help get these dogs adopted. So many great folks working and volunteering at the shelter. Keep up the good work. I was a volunteer dog walker there for about a year and I met some great dogs and caring people.
