It’s slime time on The Blox. Camille Manuel, an 8th grader at JC Booth Middle, will appear on the TV show for startups with her very own line of slime.

Camille owns her own business, Blue Blossom Slimez, and she will compete on The Blox with other entrepreneurs to be the best. Blue Blossom Slimez was Camille’s idea starting at around age 10. She loves all things slime, and she wanted to give people a great, handmade slime. She is also keenly aware that slime is a stress reliever and a sensory toy as her baby sister is on the Autism spectrum.

After quite a few months of insisting that she could run her own business, her family let her move forward, and she started selling slime at local farmers markets in April 2021. From there, she was invited to more and more events as people got to know her. Now, TV viewers everywhere will have the chance to meet her.

Camille’s mother, Patricia Beebe, spotted a social media ad looking for entrepreneurs to apply to be on a TV show. She completed the initial inquiry form, and they kept progressing through the next rounds until they were notified Camille had been selected for the season to be taped this March in Tulsa.

“Camille is both nervous and excited for this amazing opportunity,” said Patricia. “She is also extremely excited to be able to work with the amazing mentors on the show and network with other business owners.”

The family has set up a GoFundMe page to help pay for the trip to Tulsa: https://gofund.me/a79915f5.

Billed as the largest competition TV show on the planet for startups, The Blox is available on Prime Video, Facebook, and a mobile app.
